About Me
I recently completed my bachelor's degree in physics, and am now seeking my fortune, stick and bundle athwart my shoulder. In my spare time I enjoy exploring art and literature and visiting with friends.
I believe in living my life open to all the beauty, joy, and sorrow that surrounds us. When I look at nature, art, everyday tasks, and especially other people, I want to see them clearly and truly, and participate in uplifting and transcendence.
This is my personal web site, hosted for free on Neocities. Unless stated otherwise, I create everything here myself. This includes programming all HTML and CSS. I do not use so-called AI software.
I am not old enough to remember the original Geocities era. However, I do remember reading an old “Build Your First Website with HTML” book in my childhood. I was captivated by the idea of making my own website, but confused on the steps necessary to actually post it. The book seemed to imply that hosting would be no problem. At the time that book was written, web hosting was included with many ISP plans, but that was no longer the case by the 2000s.
When I found out about Neocities, I realized that my childhood ambition could be fulfilled, and I immediately signed up. I created the I. Hardy website in April 2024. Since then, I have only learned the bare minimum about HTML to post a few writings and drawings. My approach is to program more features into the site only as needed.
